Henrik’s robot

Last week Henrik went every day for three hours to Even’s Summer camp.  It was the best thing for both of us.  I couldn’t believe how much I could get done with all the uninterrupted time and he had a blast!  He got to meet new friends, play fun games, and work with wood and power tools.  What boy wouldn’t be in Heaven?!

What impressed me most was how great Even and Elise were with the kids and the amazing projects they taught them to build.  I really loved the Robot that Henrik made and he took pride in the fact that he built it himself.  He named the Robot Henry, after a friend he met at Summer camp.

Besides building a Robot, he made a checkers board, and a wooden Jango Fett.

My only regret is that I missed signing him up for the theater and art classes…I guess we’ll just have to wait till next summer.

How adorable! He looks so very proud, and the robot itself is very cute and durable-looking. Have you read Boy + Bot? It’s a picture book I got out from the library and my little boy (his name is Henry, actually!) went nuts over it. If your son generally likes robots, he might enjoy it too :)
